EVENTS - Fundraising - Charity Cycle Ride

This event is generously being organised by John Morris

of the Wembley Road Club to raise funds for the

Thames Valley Adventure Playground.

Starting and finishing at “The Plough” at Winchmore Hill, where the owner, Raffaele, is a keen cycling fan.  The pub serves great pizzas as well as other traditional Italian and British food.

We leave “The Plough” and go down though Penn to Beaconsfield, across the A40 and then ride the back road and lanes to our lunch stop at Huntswood Golf Club.

After leaving Huntswood, we will have a pleasant ride to pass the Beaconsfield Football Club, across the footbridge over M40, to a mid-afternoon break at “The Greyhound” in Old Beaconsfield. Then through New Beaconsfield and Penn, up hill to finish at the Plough after 30 miles.

Last year the ride raised over £4000 for the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice, so let's make 2017 our best year yet! I will be looking forward to seeing you all on the day, fit and well, ready for the challenge of the Chiltern countryside - let’s hope the sun shines!

The start and sign on is at 09.30 at ‘The Plough at Winchmore Hill’, Winchmore Hill, HP7 0PA.

This ride is open to all ages, under 16s to be accompanied by parents or guardians.
Riders can either self-sponsor or get sponsorship.
